...the server and network are updated

Wow, we have a forum?  And this crap still works?  At least it still has slippers. 

Anyway, I just wanted to drop a note that here in the year of our claw 2025 I've replaced all the meager server and network hardware that runs LD5, and I've made it even tinier.  It's down to two really tiny physical servers.  The shakey Ubuntu tinybox that had been running this web server has been virtualized, and I think in the process I discovered the hard drive was dyin'.  Yes!  It actually still had a spinner in there.

Even the ancient "quadpod" server is on new hardware, although it's still virtualized.  It's off in it's own little corner, away from the other VM's.  It's special.

Anyway, I have an even more robust backup system in place in case things go tits up (I want to have Veeam's baby), so Lava Dome Five can stay eternal.  I actually had someone in virtual reality (VR Chat) who happened to be watching Japanese sumo with me say he saw some streamer or show or something about folks going over ancient furry web sites, and was like "holy shit, I watched sumo with that guy."

This planet is weird.

I have now posted to the forum and will maybe do so again in a few years.

And you know what else I did?  I updated this Composr CMS thingy!  I clicked the scary update button and it seemed to work.  Now Yaki got his wish.

No!  No hurrahs!  I am lazy and I could've clicked the upgrade button years ago, and I also could have fixed the email issue (which is now also fixed) years ago too.

I will try to be less of a goober.
