Seeing as we have a number of new faces being added to the member roster, I thought it might be a good ice breaker to talk about how we came to find the Lava Dome.

I'll start.  My first real foray into interacting with the furry world was via the MUCK.  For you young'uns it's basically a bunch of chat rooms that you can move between and with a bit more worldbuilding and character development.  Basically a really great place to roleplay or even interact with others in as silly a manner as you like.

(Speaking of, Lava Dome Five does have its own MUCK should any be interested...)

My first furry friend while MUCKing referred me to Lava Dome 5 (LD5) due to our shared interests and that's how I came to be here.

I recall most of my time before l joined l hovered around the perimeter of LD5. I saw art by some of the big names and heard talk of the place, but at no point did l ever set foot into the site proper or even consider doing so. I just wasn't looking to socialize about such things back then.

It wasn't until a few years ago that l decided l wanted to branch out and converse about stompy things, yet l was still too shy to dive into the forum experience again. By the time l made the jump LD5 reinvented itself, and only a few core members and a couple new guys were around. Regardless, l stuck around here and insisted on staying, and here we are now.

I found the site, and then the MUCK back in the computer lab at college. While I was looking for dragon feet. In public.

Hi all,

I've been looking at the site since the late 90s.  I was a closeted fur so never really posted about it on the net until last year.  Big Dinosaucers fan.  By the way the Canadian TV station CTV is streaming Dinosaucers on its website https://www.ctv.ca/shows/dinosaucers   all episodes in very excellent quality.  You either need to be in Canada or *cough* use a Canadian proxy server for unrelated science experiments *cough*.  You can also download programs that can record what is on your desktop, also for unrelated science experiments.

Dimetro was my idol in the 90s, the show is really what got me into antrho.  Still watch it today.  I'm not a macro but I most definately appreciate the macro aspect of the show and in other shows as well.

Just wanted to say hi and let the Dinosorceror know I exist.

Take care all,

Nomad D. Folf
